Based in our Zurich office, Helge is an Investment Director with Emerald Technology
Ventures and is in charge of Emerald’s water practice – defining strategy,
driving investment processes and supporting portfolio companies in this sector.
He currently serves on the board of Pure Technologies (TSX: PUR) and has acted as
an advisor and board observer to inge watertechnologies, AquaSpy, the Pressure Pipe
Inspection Company and Takadu. Helge is a co-founder and steering committee member
of the Innovation Program of the International Water Association (IWA) and was one
of the initial members of the Smart Water Network (SWAN) Forum.
Prior to joining Emerald, he conducted research at the Swiss Federal Institute of
Aquatic Science and Technology (eawag) in the Environmental Engineering Division.
Helge holds a PhD in Environmental Engineering from the Swiss Federal Institute
of Technology (ETH) in Zurich and a Masters Degree in Civil Engineering from the
Technical University of Karlsruhe. He speaks fluently German, English and Spanish.
