As part of the Toronto team, Renée Gouveia is an Executive Assistant with Emerald Technology Ventures and is responsible for managing global deal flow and special projects.

At age 19, Renée purchased a retail business in Toronto, where she put her entrepreneurial spirit to the test. After 12 successful years, the company expanded by adding many corporate clients to her growing retail business, and enabled Renee to sell her enterprise for a substantial profit. Responsible for strategic management, Renée went on to oversee a leading event planning firm in Toronto. Additionally, she led the Executive Committee for a non-profit fashion organization producing numerous award winning events. More recently Renee specialized in team and culture development at Lululemon Athletica, Canada’s top performing yoga-inspired athletic apparel company.
